INVERNESS LFC 0 SPARTANS 2
Spartans made the long trip to play Premier League newcomers Inverness, With Spartans still struggling with injuries they again needed to bring in trialists. Spartans got off the mark in 29 minutes when Kristy Scott headed home a Diana Barry cross. Three minutes later Diana Barry turned scorer when she fired past Kim Jappy to make the score 2-0. Hayley Lauder and Donna Cheyne both hit the woodwork and Kim Jappy (left) made some good stops to keep Spartans out. Inverness played well in spells without troubling stand-in keeper Shelley Kerr but showed enough to suggest that they will be a welcome addition to the top league and it won't be long before they register points on the table.

SPARTANS 2 HIBERNIAN 2
Spartans welcomed Hibernian to the Spartans Academy Stadium pitch tonight for the first ever Women's game to be played on the new grass surface and the crowd were entertained with a cracking game of football. Hibernian took the lead just before the interval when they were awarded a penalty dispatched by Stacey Cook past stand-in keeper Claire Crosbie after Kirsty McBride was upended in the box. Into the second half Spartans were denied a stonewall penalty however equalised when Diana Barry pounced on a loose ball before taking the lead courtesy of a Hibs defenders header in to her own net. Hibs then scored through an Alana Marshall drive to tie the game.

CELTIC LFC 1 SPARTANS 0
Spartans depleted side went down to Celtic in a league game today, the linesman kept his flag down to allow Suzanne Grant a free run in from which she made no mistake to bag all three points for the Glasgow side. With six players currently on the injury list including goalkeeper Jo Hutcheson, Spartans employed central defender Claire Crosbie (left) between the sticks once more and she turned in a terrific display holding out until three minutes from time. It was a cruel blow for all the girls who worked so hard throughout.   Sundays Results
