Spartans Women and Girls' Football Club are delighted to have many loyal and passionate supporters, we are striving to provide the best environment for the players, volunteers and fans. Our efforts to date have converted Spartans Women & Girls' into a successful club providing opportunities for local Women and Girls to participate in football in a safe environment and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

 

The success of the women's first team has a pyramid effect on the other teams within the club and encourages Women and Girls to become involved. The women are excellent role models for our youth. Currently we have girls teams at U11, U13 and U15 age groups and three women's teams. It is our aim to add an U17 team and once we achieve this goal we will be supporting well over 100 players and volunteers

The expense of competing at the highest level in the Scottish Women's Premier League throughout the season is enormous. None of the players or staff receive any payment, but give their all for the club, love of the game and the promotion of the sport. Whilst Spartans Women & Girls' do invest time in raising funds for the club (Bag Packing, Raffles, Race nights etc), we still struggle to cover our costs and the players and volunteers are still required to fund facilities and extensive travel costs. We are looking for companies and/or individuals to help support our running costs by sponsoring a player or supporting the club in other ways.

Spartans are delighted to announce the sponsorship of midfielder Patricia McLaughlin, by Leith Garage 1994 Ltd.

Trisha is one of Spartans longest serving players having joined from youth football in 2005. This is Trisha's sixth season but unfortunately due to injury Trish has not played so far this season, we are all hopeful that her knee problem is behind her and she will play a major part in the second half of the 2010 season.

 

We have missed Trish's lightning pace so far and it will be good to see her flying up the wings again shortly. The partnership between Trish, Spartans and Leith Garage will allow Trish to concentrate solely on her development as a player at Spartans and she is delighted that Leith

Spartans are delighted to announce the sponsorship of midfielder Chloe Fitzpatrick for the 2010 season, by MTM Construction Ltd

Chloe begins her first season at Spartans having played previously for her home team Aberdeen LFC, an integral part of the current Scotland U19 team, Chloe has already shown a determination to succeed at Spartans and she will be a huge benefit to our squad.
