National Day for Girls’ & Women’s Football - Sponsored by Nomis
 
The seventh National Day for Girls’ and Women’s football is taking place on Sunday 20 May at McDiarmid Park, Perth from 10.45am. The first of three matches of the day is the RAF Scottish Schools FA Final of the Under 15 Scottish Shield- Perth Grammar v Mintlaw Academy.  
 
At 1.00pm is U17 International Challenge match, Scotland v Northern Ireland, which is followed by the finale of the day, the Amicus Scottish Cup Final, Glasgow City LFC v Hibernian Ladies, kicking off at 3.05pm.
 
The National Day is the showcase event of the year, promoting all aspects of girls’ and women’s football in Scotland. For the first year, Nomis, who have a sponsorship deal with the Scotland Women’s National Team for football boots, will be sponsoring the event. 

Around 300 schoolgirls from all over Scotland will take part in a small side games festival on the synthetic pitch at McDiarmid Park and there will be half time activity at each match on the main pitch from SFA Regional Squads. 

Schools across Scotland have been invited to attend as well as representatives from all levels of sport, local council members and the surrounding community.  It is a free event and will be a fun day out for all the family with three exciting football matches, schools, regional and development squads, ending the day on a high with the presentation of the Amicus Scottish Cup.
