Hibernian Ladies v Vale of Clyde - Premier League - Sunday 7th. October 2007

Ladies goal feast continues

Hibernian faced Vale of Clyde and the goals were again to be in abundance even if they did miss a hatful of chances before eventually breaking through the Glasgow sides resilience, Laura Kennedy slipping a pass onto Kim Little who made no mistake. The youngster then scored her second of the game soon after, Kirsty McBride played the ball onto Pauline Hamill who beat her marker before crossing and Kim Little was on hand to finish clinically.

Kim Little then completed her hat-trick when she turned in a Joelle Murray cross before she was once again in the right place to score from Laura Kennedy's fine pass. The half finished with Hibs in complete control and they scored a fifth soon after the restart as Mandy Burns turned in a Kirsty McBride cross before Substitute Suzanne Grant squared for Kim Little to make it 6-0.

Kim Little was goal provider for strike number seven as she held the ball up before laying it off for the run of Alison Donnelly to despatch her first ever goal for the Hibees. Suzanne Grant clinically grabbed two goals in quick succession as Hibs continued to over run their Glasgow opponents before Shelley Kerr headed in Pauline Hamill's corner kick to send the scoring into double figures.

It was always going to be Kim Little's afternoon and the youngster completed the rout when she collected a pass from Suzy Robertson before turning her maker inside out and finding the bottom corner of the net. This was perhaps Hibs best performance of the season, their movement and pace was evident throughout and they did not relent once. The ladies have been getting stronger and stronger over the last few weeks and this performance has been the best of them of them all but they will face a stern test against rivals Glasgow City on Wednesday in the Premier League Cup semi final.
