Hamilton v Forfar - Women's Premier League - Sunday 9th. September 2007

Hamilton 4 v Forfar Farmington 1

This was a match Forfar will want to forget quickly.Despite taking the lead on 23 minutes when Avril Gourlay tapped in from close range following a corner, Forfar never played with any fluidity and at no time did then exert any sustained pressure. Hamilton on the other hand were well composed.  Hollie Thomson was commanding in defence thwarting  Forfar's attacks and in turn spreading confidence throughout the Hamilton team.
Hamilton equalised on the half hour, Nicky Grant scoring from a dubiously awarded free kick. While Forfar felt aggreived with the goal, Hamilton on the balance of play deserved to level before the break.

Half Time :-  1-1

Nicky Grant put Hamilton ahead shortly after the break and apart from a 15 minute spell when Forfar threatened to equalise Hamilton controlled the second half. Karen Penglase made it 3-1 in the 78th minute and with Forfar throwing caution to the wind were further punished late on when Lynsey Hogg completed Forfar's misery.
