After losing to Finland on Wednesday in the first leg of their double header, Scotland lost again today 4-1 at the Olympic Stadium, Helsinki.
Scotland got off to a bad start, conceding two goals in the 9th and 17th minutes by Finland’s Linda Sallstron and Sanna Valkonen.
Julie Fleeting managed to score shortly afterwards, in the 24th minute, however the second half was dominated by the Fins, scoring another two goals in the 66th and 80th minutes by Finland's Sanna Talonen and Annica Sjolund.
Anna Signeul was disappointed with the results, however Scotland did attack very well against Finland in two very competitive matches. I want the team to learn from these matches and look ahead to the next two UEFA qualification matches.
Scotland has two UEFA Championship qualification matches ahead of them when they play away to Slovakia on Saturday 27 October and then home to Denmark on Wednesday 31 October at McDiarmid Park.SCOTLAND SQUAD
