EDINBURGH LADIES ARE IN SEVENTH HEAVEN

Edinburgh stunned Hutchison Vale 7-0 in the only game to survive the weekend weather. Diana Barry fired in four goals and Danielle Weir and Chelsea Bate - with two headers - were also on target. Edinburgh boss Carson Ralton was pleased to secure another three points and move into second equal place with Glasgow City, who now have two games in hand. “But the game was spoiled by such a fierce wind,” he says.

Several clubs have now gone four weeks without a match as they head into the month-long winter break.
