Aberdeen FC Ladies 12 – Vale of Clyde LFC 0Aberdeen went on a goal spree at the weekend against Premier League newcomers this season, Vale of Clyde. The Dons went on immediate offensive, a cross from Corsie touched out for a corner by Clyde keeper Coutts. Corsie delivered to TAYLOR at the back post who headed cleanly past the keeper in the second minute.Clyde cleared another corner out to Aberdeen’s Small who tried a low 30 yard shot which went wide and Corsie tested the keeper again with a low shot after cutting in from wide right. Ten minutes in Young picked out Small with a diagonal ball, she charged forward crossing low just behind WRIGHT who managed to swivel and hit into the net. A minute later a ball over the defence put WRIGHT on her own to run at the keeper then chip the ball over her for her secondClyde had a short flurry of pressure McIntyre and Montgomery breaking forward on the right but failed to create any clear chance. Aberdeen countered Taylor, Young, Fitzpatrick and Corsie all involved in the build up from the back before MURRAY picked up in the middle sending a 40 yarder into the top of the goal on the half hour mark.For Clyde, McIntyre sought out Montgomery with a lob forward but the Reds defence were well in control closing down the move before countering quickly. Clyde filtered back to defend but allowed P. SCOTT to push forward from defence and launch a 35 yard shot into goal.Clyde attacked from the kick off, Gumley sending long to Stevenson who had a half chance but Dons keeper Chatham charged her down and cleared then McDonald went on a run forward but eased off the ball by Scott.Small broke forward chased by McDonald, she took it to the line and crossed but the keeper managed to block Fitzpatrick’s shot. Aberdeen pressed more with a succession of attacks but grim determination from Clyde kept the score from increasing.Half Time Aberdeen 5 – Clyde 0Aberdeen opened the scoring a minute into the half, Fitzpatrick crossing to the back post. The keeper did well blocking two close range shots but a third from CORSIE went in. Clyde attacked from midfield, a through ball to the penalty spot for Montgomery but Taylor intercepted to clear then a Clyde had their first clear shot, Montgomery pouncing on a Taylor mistake to shoot from 40 yards but Chatham had it covered.Aberdeen continued to dominate with WRIGHT picking up her hat-trick before she and Small were replaced by Stirling and Martin and more woe for Clyde as a long ball forward from Young to the back post was headed in by S.SCOTT to make it eight against no reply.Guald, Hamill and Hunter came on for Murray, P.Scott and Corsie with the new line up taking time to settle and despite one way traffic Clyde held out against further scoring for spell with the pace dropping a little from the Dons.Two more for the Aberdeen, Taylor picking out Fitzpatrick who played to STIRLING who surged forward to place into the net on 25 minutes then Hamill collected in midfield working forward to find MARTIN who shot in off the bar a minute later.Clyde were pressing a little harder Montgomery chasing down a pass back but Hunter managed to turn her, killing a chance and then an attack up the left, McDonald sending a ball in but Chatham collected. Clyde again up the left, Gumley playing in Stevenson who passed to McIntyre on the right. She cut inside by was marshalled by Taylor who conceded a corner.
